If you’re a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company needing to achieve a more visible store presence and a 90%+ sell through rate for hardware products, here are some permanent point-of-purchase/point-of-sale (POP/POS) display options to consider that have achieved this level of success.
Lowe’s Hardware Pallet Displays
For AOSafety Eyewear (now a 3M Company), we created a permanent island POP/POS display with a try-on station. The AOSafety display uses a metal fixture and shows the entire line, including hats, gloves and ear protection. The display performed so well that the products flew off the shelf and category sales also increased. Competitive product on the island display also sold at higher levels as did products on the shelf behind it because of the display’s ability to draw people to it. See the end of this blog post for example display images.
Home Depot Hardware Pallet Displays
We created a permanent shelf POS display at Home Depot for 3M safety eyewear. The display is in stores now, shows six different pairs and allows the consumer to physically try on the glasses before purchase. The display has been reordered multiple times.
We also created a corrugated wing stack display for Home Depot for one of the largest CPG hardware brands in the country.
Costco Hardware Display
We created a 25-pallet test of a multipack scissor display for Klein Tools at Costco. The display included a trapped blister package along with trays to hold 12 3-packs. Even though this was a test, pricing had to be sharp.
Pallet Display Sell-Through Success
As you can see in the examples above, we have extensive know-how to make permanent, semi-permanent and pallet displays that will be approved by Lowe’s, Home Depot and Costco (in addition to Walmart, Sam’s Club and BJ’s). We’ve even done roadshows with pallet displays shown in the store for 4-5 days, which are then packed up and shipped to another store. Whether you’re manufacturing in the US, China or elsewhere, we’re also deeply experienced in working directly with your supply chain to ensure maximum display and packaging quality.
